This week was a little crazy so I only managed to document the end of it. I am so excited for Thanksgiving and all the upcoming festivities. We will be spending our Sunday touching up paint in our living room and putting down our new rug. I am also trying to decide what type of outdoor lights to purchase to put around our house - this is our first time decorating outside so please leave me any suggestions if you have them.

I hope you have a great Sunday!

Yesterday was the first day I felt properly in the festive spirit. I turned on my Christmas music - shout-out to the Sirius XM Holly Station because it is my new favorite and went to the store to buy all the items I am making for the Thanksgiving Festivities next week.

This post is not sponsored by Nordstrom, but I happen to think they are the best destination for beauty and stocking stuffer items during the holidays. The gift sizes and multiple items together make for the perfect gift. I have rounded up some of my favorites for the beauty lover in your life.

A few other fabulous beauty products

What are you shopping for this holiday season? Let me know what type of gift guide you might be interested in.

Can y'all believe Thanksgiving is next week? I love this time of year and I love planning out fun outfits to wear during the holidays. I am really feeling dark florals, leather elements, and tartan/plaid, which are always some of my favorites this time of year. I am thinking I might wear my new Zara leather skirt, tights, booties, and maybe a dark floral or plaid top?

Let me know what you are loving and what you are planning to wear this year?

Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope you had a great week. We got some more cold weather in Mobile and I am really getting into the Holiday spirit. I have been watching Hallmark Movies all week at night and getting into bed at 7 PM because #daylightsavingstime.

I am really enjoying doing these weekly wardrobe posts. It helps remind me that I have more in my closet to work with than I realize and also I put a little more thought into my looks during the week. It is also a good option for me instead of full outfit posts, since I do work full-time I want you to see what I am realistically going to be wearing and I like the more casual vibe to it. I would love to know what you think!

I read some amazing books in October and I have a huge stack from the library I am currently devouring. They were all thrillers and I still have a ton of thrillers on my bedside table.

Please comment and let me know what you are reading so I can add it to my list.

The Lying Game by Ruth Ware - A group of friends gathers back together after a body is discovered in the coastal town that they went to boarding school in. What do these women have to do with this mystery? This one sucked me in and I didn't see the ending coming - Really enjoyed, recommend

The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon - My girlfriend sent me this one and told me I had to read around Halloween and it was truly chilling. I could not put it down but it also gave me nightmares. The town of Westhall, Vermont is a town of disappearances and folklore legends of a time long gone. The most mysterious is Sarah Harrison Shea. You will follow her story and the story of Ruthie in the present day who lives in her farmhouse and whose mother has mysteriously disappeared. What happened to her? Would definitely recommend if you like a spooky book.

Into The Water by Paula Hawkins - Women keep winding up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through this coastal town. Women from the past and from the present. The story of Nel Abbot and what happens to her daughter in the wake of her haunting death will really suck you in. Really enjoyed - would recommend

Behind Closed Doors by BA Paris - Does this couple have the perfect marriage or is this a carefully crafted front. This book is terrifying and I could not put it down. I read it in one sitting and found it chilling. Would definitely recommend.

The Nordstrom Fall Clearance is currently happening and now is the time to scoop up some great closet staples. They always have the best sales with items that are already on my wish-list, in season, and currently 40% off or more. I picked up these jeans and can't wait to add them to my closet, I was truly lacking a pair of great black jeans. This is the perfect time to stock up on Fall/Winter items that will last you for more than one season and fill in anything missing in your wardrobe. I have this tunic in two colors and I wear them all the time. Highly recommend. I really want to add a pair of leather leggings and over the knee boots to my wardrobe as well this season.

What are you shopping this season?

Thanks for reading!

Happy Weekend Everyone! Here is my second round of my weekly wardrobe for the office - let me know if you like this series or want to see more like it? We are relaxing at home this weekend, watching the Alabama game, and doing some work around the house. I have decided to do lots of Holiday content starting tomorrow. Gift Guides, What to Wear for Thanksgiving/Christmas, etc. Let me know what you might like to see.

Dr. Teals Foaming Bath - I take a bath every single night and I noticed that I was using all of my Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Honey Bath ( my favorite ) way too quickly, so I bought this foaming bath from Target for every night and it is one of my new favorites. The scent is super calming and leaves your skin extremely soft.

Weleda Skin Food - If you get dry skin then you need this lotion in your life. It is really thick and great for those rougher areas, elbows, feet, or just if your skin is parched. It smells amazing as well.

Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo - I bought the mini version of this dry shampoo because I heard such great things about it and now I definitely need the full size in my life. It is the only dry shampoo I have found that really works on my hair and I can wear it down on second or third day hair.

Origins Ginzing - The perfect cleanser for your mornings. The little beads are the perfect amount of scrub, the smell is amazing, and it leaves my skin feeling super smooth and glowing. Highly recommend!

TopShop Sweater  in Nude - This is my new favorite Fall sweater. It is so comfortable and I am loving the dusty pink colors for Fall. I needed some more items this color in my wardrobe.

LEAVES Candle from Bath and Body Works - This candle embodies everything Fall and I have burned it throughout this entire month along with Sweater Weather.

Levis 501 Denim Shorts - I purchased these right before October and wore them til about October 15th, but I know that I will wear them on repeat this Spring/Summer. I have heard great reviews on them and they really are the perfect denim shorts. Kind of obsessed.

Happy Halloween Friends! What were you loving this month - let me know!

+ FRIDAY + No OOTD - We wore t-shirts for the Breast Cancer walk so it was a casual T-Shirt and jeans day.

+ Some items are old so I have linked the most similar option I could find.

I know I have not done an outfit post in forever and thought it might be fun just to document my outfits throughout the work week since that is the majority of my style right now. It also helps me try to branch out in my wardrobe and wear the things that I do have. I am thinking about making this a weekly series so let me know what you think. It is getting so chilly here, we might even have a fire this weekend. I also got my brows tinted for the first time on Friday night and am so happy with the results. My brows are so naturally sparse so it really helps to make them a bit more noticeable. We have the walk this morning and I might cuddle up and watch Stranger Things Season 2 afterwards.

Have a great weekend,

This was truly the first year I have ever been able to decorate my own house and I have been loving the process. As far as my fall decorations, I have gotten some new items but there are still some more I would love to add to my collection. When everything goes on sale next week I am going to go on the hunt for a larger wreath for my front door and maybe use this one inside over my mantle next year.

- Our Front Porch - went with a Classic Fall Theme and the most handsome boy you ever did see! Haybales and Pumpkins on sale at Old Time Pottery and the lantern and doormat are Pottery Barn -

 - Velvet Pumpkin and my Sparkly Skull -

- Mantle Decor -

- Pumpkin Pillow Target -

- Boo Pillow from Pottery Barn a few years ago -

- My most precious Halloween Decoration - A Haunted House that my mom always put out when we were growing up, gives me all the feels -

I did everything on a pretty tight budget and always find most of my decorations on clearance after the season, which is when I definitely recommend shopping for those items. I know it is hard to resist the full price but you can do so much with some mini pumpkins and faux leaves. Just think of the amazing discounts you will get on October 31st! I always go on my lunch break and scout out the sales the week after Halloween!

Happy Fall Friends!

My Fall candles come out at the end of September and carry me through November. I feel like even when it is still 80 degrees outside (perks of living in Mobile, Alabama) if I light my Fall candle it starts to feel super cozy in my house with all my Fall decorations. I have really just started to get in the Fall spirit this week. The pumpkin patch is up in the parking lot I park in for work and it is so much fun to leave the office and see all the kids getting their pumpkins and riding on the tractor.

These are my current favorites and they are all extremely budget friendly. I have to say Bath & Body Works knows how to do a Fall candle and I find myself making purchases there every single year - Leaves is a total staple at our house. I would love to know what your favorite Fall candles are so I can try them out.

September 2017

Charlie cut his paw and had to have a piece of it removed - he is totally fine now but definitely milked it. He is so funny and truly loves to be the center of attention.

We celebrated Henry's Birthday with gifts and ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. I will not lie we ate ice cream cake for an entire week.

Went to 30A  on Saturday to visit with some of my family who were in town. We went to lunch at this new area called The Hub and it is a super cute shopping/food truck situation.

I purchased this new table and chairs from someone on the Neighborhood app and I am really happy with how it turned out. I am in the process of ordering slipcovers and think they will make a big difference. Excuse my grainy iphone pics.

We finally got curtains hung in our bedroom. We still need another pillow, new rug, and I might want to hang our headboard higher on the wall. I would also like matching bedside tables and new lamps. It has come a long way though.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! We have had a super busy two weeks and we are just getting caught up on projects around our house. Homeownership seems to come with never ending projects but that is part of the fun. I am desperate for some cool weather, anyone else? I am trying my hardest to get into the Fall spirit but the weather is not making it easy. I will say that all the Fall clothing is very exciting and really makes me want to update my entire wardrobe. I was on a major house buying trail but I might be switching back over to clothing for the time being.

Have a great week and thanks for reading,
