Happy Sunday Friends! I know I know I have definitely been MIA on here again and during the most wonderful time of the year! I hope you are all having an amazing Christmas season. Henry and I have been working, traveling for family trips and he has been hunting, and also just prepping for the Christmas festivities around here - we haven't stopped basically all of December. My tree finally has gifts underneath it as of last week. I will have a full life lately post later today.

GIFT GUIDE: MY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST



I have officially blogged more in November than any other month this year! I am really enjoying it - let me know if you are enjoying the posts! I thought it would be fun to do my Christmas Wishlist, especially since it helps my husband out on the gift idea situation. Are you listening Henry?? It is a mix of closet staples and items for my home this year, everything has been on my wishlist for awhile now - I might go ahead and splurge on this travel set, since it is currently on sale. 

2017 Christmas Wishlist 

David Yurman Bracelet  - I think I have truly wanted to start a collection of these classic bracelets since my freshman year of college. This is the one I would really really like from Henry. 

Bar Stools - These are definitely missing at the bar in our kitchen and I would love to make this purchase end of 2017 early 2018. I love the nail head detail and classic traditional style.

Barbour Jacket - Another closet staple and I know I will wear it for years to come. 

Williams-Sonoma Oven Mitt - A kitchen staple that we are currently lacking. 

Leopard Heels - Closet staple that I know would be on repeat at my office. They could add so much to any outfit. 

Velvet Pillows - The perfect new pillows for our couch to tie in our new rug. So cozy and luxe.

OTK Boots - Love the extra layer these boots add to every single look. I think they will really dress up any outfit. 

Henri Bendel Travel Set - I love a gorgeous travel set and anything to help me get a little more organized. Henri Bendel really does it best on all their travel accessories. 

Tom Ford Coffee Table Book - I collect coffee table books and this one is at the top of the list. It is a splurge but definitely makes a statement. 

Lululemon Jacket  - The perfect jacket for walks and working out in the winter time. Also great for relaxing in my work-out great on Saturday and Sunday.

Le Creuset Dutch Oven - Le Creuset is gorgeous and this is the perfect soup and chili pot. I love the white color

This week was a little crazy so I only managed to document the end of it. I am so excited for Thanksgiving and all the upcoming festivities. We will be spending our Sunday touching up paint in our living room and putting down our new rug. I am also trying to decide what type of outdoor lights to purchase to put around our house - this is our first time decorating outside so please leave me any suggestions if you have them.

THANKSGIVING OUTFIT INSPO


Can y'all believe Thanksgiving is next week? I love this time of year and I love planning out fun outfits to wear during the holidays. I am really feeling dark florals, leather elements, and tartan/plaid, which are always some of my favorites this time of year. I am thinking I might wear my new Zara leather skirt, tights, booties, and maybe a dark floral or plaid top?

Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope you had a great week. We got some more cold weather in Mobile and I am really getting into the Holiday spirit. I have been watching Hallmark Movies all week at night and getting into bed at 7 PM because #daylightsavingstime. 

I am really enjoying doing these weekly wardrobe posts. It helps remind me that I have more in my closet to work with than I realize and also I put a little more thought into my looks during the week. It is also a good option for me instead of full outfit posts, since I do work full-time I want you to see what I am realistically going to be wearing and I like the more casual vibe to it. I would love to know what you think! 

OCTOBER 2017 READING LIST


I read some amazing books in October and I have a huge stack from the library I am currently devouring. They were all thrillers and I still have a ton of thrillers on my bedside table.

The Lying Game by Ruth Ware - A group of friends gathers back together after a body is discovered in the coastal town that they went to boarding school in. What do these women have to do with this mystery? This one sucked me in and I didn't see the ending coming - Really enjoyed, recommend

The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon - My girlfriend sent me this one and told me I had to read around Halloween and it was truly chilling. I could not put it down but it also gave me nightmares. The town of Westhall, Vermont is a town of disappearances and folklore legends of a time long gone. The most mysterious is Sarah Harrison Shea. You will follow her story and the story of Ruthie in the present day who lives in her farmhouse and whose mother has mysteriously disappeared. What happened to her? Would definitely recommend if you like a spooky book.

Into The Water by Paula Hawkins - Women keep winding up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through this coastal town. Women from the past and from the present. The story of Nel Abbot and what happens to her daughter in the wake of her haunting death will really suck you in. Really enjoyed - would recommend 

Behind Closed Doors by BA Paris - Does this couple have the perfect marriage or is this a carefully crafted front. This book is terrifying and I could not put it down. I read it in one sitting and found it chilling. Would definitely recommend.

NORDSTROM FALL SALE: MY PICKS

The Nordstrom Fall Clearance is currently happening and now is the time to scoop up some great closet staples. They always have the best sales with items that are already on my wish-list, in season, and currently 40% off or more. I picked up these jeans and can't wait to add them to my closet, I was truly lacking a pair of great black jeans. This is the perfect time to stock up on Fall/Winter items that will last you for more than one season and fill in anything missing in your wardrobe. I have this tunic in two colors and I wear them all the time. Highly recommend. I really want to add a pair of leather leggings and over the knee boots to my wardrobe as well this season.

OCTOBER FAVORITES


Dr. Teals Foaming Bath - I take a bath every single night and I noticed that I was using all of my Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Honey Bath ( my favorite ) way too quickly, so I bought this foaming bath from Target for every night and it is one of my new favorites. The scent is super calming and leaves your skin extremely soft. 

Weleda Skin Food - If you get dry skin then you need this lotion in your life. It is really thick and great for those rougher areas, elbows, feet, or just if your skin is parched. It smells amazing as well. 

Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo - I bought the mini version of this dry shampoo because I heard such great things about it and now I definitely need the full size in my life. It is the only dry shampoo I have found that really works on my hair and I can wear it down on second or third day hair.

Origins Ginzing - The perfect cleanser for your mornings. The little beads are the perfect amount of scrub, the smell is amazing, and it leaves my skin feeling super smooth and glowing. Highly recommend! 


TopShop Sweater  in Nude - This is my new favorite Fall sweater. It is so comfortable and I am loving the dusty pink colors for Fall. I needed some more items this color in my wardrobe. 


LEAVES Candle from Bath and Body Works - This candle embodies everything Fall and I have burned it throughout this entire month along with Sweater Weather. 


Levis 501 Denim Shorts - I purchased these right before October and wore them til about October 15th, but I know that I will wear them on repeat this Spring/Summer. I have heard great reviews on them and they really are the perfect denim shorts. Kind of obsessed.

I know I have not done an outfit post in forever and thought it might be fun just to document my outfits throughout the work week since that is the majority of my style right now. It also helps me try to branch out in my wardrobe and wear the things that I do have. I am thinking about making this a weekly series so let me know what you think. It is getting so chilly here, we might even have a fire this weekend. I also got my brows tinted for the first time on Friday night and am so happy with the results. My brows are so naturally sparse so it really helps to make them a bit more noticeable. We have the walk this morning and I might cuddle up and watch Stranger Things Season 2 afterwards.

2017 FALL HOUSE DECORATIONS

This was truly the first year I have ever been able to decorate my own house and I have been loving the process. As far as my fall decorations, I have gotten some new items but there are still some more I would love to add to my collection. When everything goes on sale next week I am going to go on the hunt for a larger wreath for my front door and maybe use this one inside over my mantle next year.

I did everything on a pretty tight budget and always find most of my decorations on clearance after the season, which is when I definitely recommend shopping for those items. I know it is hard to resist the full price but you can do so much with some mini pumpkins and faux leaves. Just think of the amazing discounts you will get on October 31st! I always go on my lunch break and scout out the sales the week after Halloween!
