With Style and a Little Grace: September 2016

Wish-List Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Loves! Today I am rounding up some new and old items that are currently on my dream wish-list. If you are interested you can shop my running list on my Pinterest here. I love a classic closet staple that will last for year's to come and the coveted Barbour jacket is pretty high on my wish-list - thinking Christmas! What are you currently loving? I am in desperate need of some great black booties and a few new beauty products. This monogram necklace would elevate all my favorite looks. I just love it all! The mirrored console table is currently on sale and someone needs it in their house STAT!

What have y'all been up to this week - it's been crazy around here - hoping I can update you next week!

Thank you for reading!

Fall Must-Haves

Happy Fall Y'all! It is still steaming hot here in Mobile but that has never stopped me before. My closet is fully switched over and all my vests are lined up and ready to wear. I have most of these items in my closet and wear them on repeat every Fall season.

This year I plan on purchasing my first pair of Bean Boots and the perfect pair of jeans. I have a few more things I am eyeing as well. These staples are tried and true every single year and never go out of style. I am so excited for pumpkin picking, fall leaves, apple cider, cozy fires, and weekends out and about. What about you?

On another note I am so excited for the Fall TV season. All our favorites are back and the two new shows I am loving - This is Us and Designated Survivor. That is all I have added to my usual list so far - what do you recommend?

My Current Skincare Routine

It's Hump-day and we are half-way through another week. I think I will look back on these last couple of months and realize that they were some of our craziest in a long time. I am so excited for the upcoming Fall season and I have recently added several new items to my skin-care routine so I thought I would share my Fall Skin Care Regimen. You know I love a good beauty post and any excuse to break out my favorite velvet pumpkins and yes they are already out in my house.

Cleanse and scrub at least twice a week - Cetaphil Cleanser and St. Ives Apricot Scrub

Make-up cleansing towelettes to cleanse left-over makeup - love these from Neutrogena and haven't found any better than them

Garnier Micellar water to cleanse if I'm not in a rush - I have found this one doesn't take off as well as the wipes

Loreal Facial Oil and Loreal Eye Cream every night and every morning - loving this new combo

- usually alternate between my favorite Rosebud Salve and Aquaphor on my lips

- I do a mask at least two nights a week - currently trying out all these fun Peter Thomas Roth minis - current faves are the Pumpkin Enzyme and Deep Mineral Mask

What is your current skincare routine? Thank you so much for reading!

Veggie Enchilada Casserole

Hi Friends! Henry and I have been eating out a ton the last 2 months and we are finally trying to reign it in and get some semblance of a schedule back in our lives. Along with this comes a major need for healthy meals and green veggies in our life. I have truly fallen off the wagon and today was the first day back on the healthy train.

I found this recipe on Skinnytaste and knew I had to make it. The only thing I did differently is use canned enchilada sauce, which was still delicious and definitely cut down on time. I loved it and had enough left-overs for lunch all week. I served it with sour cream and hot sauce - so good and only around 237 calories a serving.

Thank me after you make it and if you haven't watched The Case of Jon Benet Ramsey on CBS you need to watch - it literally sucked me in and was fascinating to see the case laid out.

Book Review: The Husbands Secret

Hi Friends and Happy Friday - I hope everyone had a great week! I am so ready for this weekend. I finished the Husband's Secret in 2 nights and literally could not put it down. Everyone told me I would love the way that she writes and now I honestly wish I had picked up these books sooner. They literally suck you in until the end. I am pretty proud of myself for getting back to reading more frequently but I will admit I am still re-watching Gossip Girl. I am now on Season 4 - love that show!

Check out a summary of the book here

So Good!

Summer Reading 2016

I will not lie to y'all I had high hopes for my Summer reading and looking back and seeing that I only managed to get through 5 books makes me a little sad. I really want to carve out more time to read because it is truly something that I really enjoy. My girlfriends and I have decided to start a book club so I am really excited because I am hoping that will get me started again.

Here are the books I read this Summer in order of enjoyment:

Big Little Lies - I have heard amazing things about Liane Moriarty and this book did not disappoint. I read it in one sitting and loved the way that she writes - highly recommend.

The Weekenders - I have been a fan of Mary Kay Andrews ever since one of my girlfriends gave me one of her books - we actually stayed at her house on Tybee Island for her Bachelorette - such a fun place. I read this at Bald Head Island and it was so much like the island. Loved it.

The Magicians - I loved this book and I am kind of obsessed with the series now on SyFy. If you love witches and warlocks/fantasy this is a fun read. It is a little bit darker and I will say I haven't finished the series. They kind of fizzled out for me right now.

The Gates of Evangeline - This is a bit of a thriller and a mystery. I really enjoyed it but it took me a little while to get into it.

Anderson Cooper Dispatches from the Edge - This is a very interesting book and his life is completely fascinating. It is also very sad and serious at some points and this summer I just could not get into it. I needed books that were a little lighter if that makes sense.

Let me know what you are reading so I can add them to our Book Club List. I will also do a fun review of what we read for October on here as well. I am currently reading Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight - its a mystery - shocker you know I love those.

Thank you for reading!

Bath and Body Works Fall Candle Haul

Happy Weekend Friends! I saw that Bath and Body Works candles were on sale for $12.50 on Friday and although that is not as low as the $10 sale I jumped on the chance to grab a few Fall candles. I also picked up the Leaves foaming hand soap because that is absolutely my favorite Fall scent from them. Bath and Body Works killed it this Fall with all of their scents and I love the gorgeous packaging on their classic scents. You definitely need to pop in or order a few online before Fall is fully upon us.

FALL HAUL

Pumpkin Pie - the most perfect candle for the entire month of October and November

Leaves  - my favorite pre-Thanksgiving scent. It just smells like a crisp fall day and I love it!

Pumpkin Woods  - this one smells of spruce, cedar, pumpkin and vanilla. Yes please.

Leaves Foaming Hand Wash - I love this scent and needed it in my kitchen.

If you have purchased any candles recently let me know some of your favorite Fall scents and check out my last years haul here.

Fall Shoe Craving

Happy Friday Friends!  I hope everyone had a great short week! Ours was crazy busy but I am really looking forward to a fun low-key weekend. We have dinner plans with friends tonight and then laying low the rest of the time. I am kind of obsessed with all the fabulous shoes for Fall this season. The gorgeous rich colors and styles. Here are the top 4 styles that I am loving for Fall 2016. These over the knee boots are my next purchase waiting to happen.

Gingham Girl

OUTFIT POSTS ARE BACK Y'ALL! I know it has seriously been a month but I am back in action and ready for the Fall! I hope everyone had an amazing Labor Day weekend. We really enjoyed ours - watching college football - Roll Tide and having dinner with the family. I also devoured Big Little Lies and loved it, I am now on The Husband's Secret. I love the way she writes.

I broke out my jeans for dinner since I switched over my closet this weekend and while it was a little too hot - this girl is too excited about the transition to crisp cool air. I have been wearing this gingham top on repeat and think it is cute to transition into Fall mixed with my jeans. I am also in love with my new earrings from Happiness Boutique, I think they are such a fun statement piece. Make sure you check them out here.
