I can't tell y'all how much fun we had in New Orleans last weekend. Henry and I have been a few times but this trip was definitely my favorite. We went with our besties to try and eat at as many amazing restaurants as possible, see the Mumford and Sons concert on Saturday night, go to Cafe DuMonde and Mass at Jackson Square on Sunday. We managed to cram it all into one weekend and even though we have been tired this week it was totally worth it.
I am a little embarrassed because all my photos basically look like I am eating my way through New Orleans, but lets be honest I kind of let myself have a food free for all and it was amazing. I feel like we could go several times a year and never eat at all the amazing places there are.
Lobby of The Hotel Monteleone
WHERE WE STAYED
ALOFT in The French Quarter - great hotel for a great price - very contemporary
WHERE WE ATE
Friday Night: Drinks at The Carousel Bar and Pat O's - at least stop by and see The Hotel Monteleone - so gorgeous
Dinner at Dickie Brennans - OH MY GOODNESS - this was seriously the best meal all weekend and we had the most delicious Pinot Noir that Henry and I have ever tried - get the filet or lobster oh and for sure the truffle mac and cheese - my mouth is watering. This is a must stop
After Dinner Drinks at The Pillars in The Garden District - this is such a cool bar/b&b - an old antebellum home
Saturday: Breakfast at The Ruby Slipper - get the specialty benedicts
Drinks at Razoos - always good people watching
Dinner at The Palace Cafe - love this atmosphere and food is seriously amazing
Mumford and Sons Concert - Ziegler Field - they put on such a great show, seriously so talented
Sunday: Breakfast at Cafe DuMonde - a must stop in New Orleans
Lunch at Deanies (they have the most amazing Bloody Mary's)
Shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue
I am already planning our next trip back soon! It is such an easy drive from Mobile. Now I just have to work-out and eat salad for a month to get rid of all the overindulgence. How is y'alls week going? We are just playing the catch up game that happens when you are out of town during the weekend.
Hope you have a great day and thanks for reading!
