What I ate Wednesday


Welcome to my first What I ate Wednesday. I saw several of my favorite You-Tubers doing this in video form and it always gives me great healthy food inspiration, especially for breakfast and dinner. Since I am about two weeks back into my  diet/healthy eating, I thought I would take y'all along on my journey for a little slice of what I am eating and how I am doing throughout the process. 

First off -I have about 6-7 lbs I want to lose that I gained since October when I got off of my work-out regimen and began eating pretty badly leading up to the Holidays.

Since I started two weeks ago I am down 3 lbs - I contribute a ton of this to drinking my water - 3 -750 ML bottles + a day. I did give up sweets and alcohol for Lent which I am sure is helping as well. I have also slowly introduced working out back into my routine - once the first week and twice this week. 

My goal is to get back to my regular weight end of March and get back into my healthy eating routine and working out 3-4 times a week.I plan on starting my Barre classes next week and I might do a whole post on how I like them and the difference they make. I really want to tone up for this summer and just get into my best shape possible. I want to maintain and stay healthy - have cheat days but not completely fall off the wagon like I did over the holidays. Anyone else? 


BREAKFAST

Steel Cut Oatmeal -I like the Irish brand - I make it the night before so I can heat it up at work 
Covered in Strawberries, Blueberries, Tablespoon of honey and cinnamon to taste. I usually like berries or a banana in it. I pre-made my oatmeal so this is the breakfast I am having all week. 


LUNCH

Leftover grilled shrimp from dinner the night before. Spinach and Kale salad, tomatoes, feta cheese, olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper to taste. This salad was so delicious and fresh. 

SNACK

For my snack I had 2 clementines and a little bit of my Green Goddess smoothie blend. Sometimes I have a little crunchy peanut butter instead in the afternoon. I also have a coffee everyday around 3:45. 


DINNER 

Last night Henry and I went out to dinner for a quick and easy bite at Jason's Deli. When eating out I usually try to check my calories in My Fitness Pal and make sure I am eating the right options. I opted for a cup of French Onion Soup and the salad bar. I tried to load up on protein, veggies, and a light ranch.
