With Style and a Little Grace: DIY Paper Rose Wreath

DIY Paper Rose Wreath

So guys I have a little confession - I might have started this little DIY project in JANUARY of 2015 and it might have fallen by the wayside - enter shameful head shaking here. I made a list of things I wanted to make sure I finished before the New Year and by God as my witness finishing this bad boy was on that list. I have picked it up at random times and started working on it, but last Saturday with the help of some hot cocoa and my DVR I finally finished and I am so happy with the results. Be warned this project takes a little time but the end results are totally worth it.

While I have been married for a bit over 2 years there are still things that I need to do - like print out some of our photos and make a fun little album of our engagement/wedding/honeymoon. One of those items was figure out what to do with the 100 extra Save the Dates my mom and I accidentally ordered - we blame this on wedding mania and lack of sleep. You brides know what I am talking about. One of my favorite bloggers Carrie Bradshaw Lied showed how she made her paper wreath here with leftover wedding programs and I knew I wanted to do that with our Save the Dates.

Glue Gun + Extra Glue
Styrofoam Circle
Save the Dates/Programs/Invitations ( really anything you want to use)
Ribbon to hang your wreath

Cover your styrofoam ring with paper so the roses will stick

Cover the back of your wreath with save the date sheets

Cut the edges of your paper so that you can make a circle

I cut my Save the Dates in half and used each one for separate roses

Cut the circle into a spiral

Roll from the outside in - know that side you are rolling is the side the will show on your roses - I did a mix

Glue the end of your rose together then glue to your wreath

Cover your wreath

* I didn't have enough to do the edges so I edged my wreath with ribbon but it would also look great if you covered all the edges with roses

I just love how it turned out - I am going to love it even more against a white wall color when we finally move - it doesn't stand out that well on this wall but I am just so happy with how it turned out and now I have all those memories of that special time in one beautiful wreath!

Let me know if you make one and if you would like to see more DIY projects - I actually have a fun Christmas one in the works for next week!

Thank you so much for reading!!
