With Style and a Little Grace: April 2015

Coral Crush

A little coral adds a lot of pop! I am so glad I ended up buying this necklace while we were at the beach. I picked it up and put it down then my girlfriend picked it up and was buying one for herself and I was like MUST BUY THE NECKLACE. Thanks Darc ;) ! Shopping pressure at it's finest. No regret worse than that of the things you didn't buy - confessions of a shopping addict.
But I absolutely love it and it is such a fun statement piece.

I have had a really hard time finding items to wear with this crop top I bought last summer so I decided to layer it over one of my oldest and most loved maxis. I love the look it created and it totally changes a piece I have worn many times. A fun way to revamp a well loved maxi in your closet.

Cheers to Thursday and thank y'all for reading!
* This blog post is named after the traveling lipstick that my girlfriends and I decided was the best to wear out on the town - Maybelline Coral Crush get it girl!

Planning my Home Organization Binder

Image via Pinterest

Let's be honest y'all I love anything that has to do with organization. I like a good list for literally everything. So it shouldn't surprise anyone that I have been toying around with the idea of making a Home Management Binder. They are super popular on Pinterest and You-Tube which just added fuel to my little OCD heart. I mean I have my planner and my blog notebook for ideas but I love the idea of having a binder where every aspect of our home/finances can be easily located.

Let's not talk about how many notebooks I carry around ok?

I got a bit carried away researching all the options on Pinterest - that place can seriously be a black hole. Lots of perfect free printables and organized lists for every aspect of my life - my inner Monica is jumping for joy.

I am currently working on getting mine set up for our little family exactly like I want it and then I thought I would share it on here for anyone that is interested. I have really enjoyed seeing how other people put their's together and it gives me good ideas about what I might be missing.

I am also going to add a whole section on meal planning and if this goes well I might do a post on it too. Do y'all meal plan? Does it work for you?

Do y'all like the idea of having all your home needs in one area or do you think I'm a little crazy? If you like planner posts I might do one of those too and how I set up my schedule. Outfit pics are back tomorrow!

Lipstick Favorites

Happy Monday y'all! Today I thought I would bring you my current lipstick favorites that are in heavy rotation. Lipsticks are my favorite beauty product to buy and I feel like they are the most fun to change up.  They are also such an easy and cheap way to change any look with one swipe of color.
I would love to know some of your favorites!

Maybelline Color Sensational Blushing Bud - I just picked this gorgeous neutral pink of last week and I am in love with it. The pigmentation of these and the consistency is so good. I will definitely be picking up a few more of them.

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Rose - My favorite Maybelline color of all time. This pink is so gorgeous It is the perfect pop of pink for summer.

Rimmel Kate Moss #10 - A gorgeous deep red with serious pigmentation. I love this collection.

MAC Cremesheen in Creme Cup - This is the perfect every single day pink and I love the scent of MAC lipsticks. It goes on very sheer and looks gorgeous with a little gloss on top.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy - This is the color I bought for my wedding day so it will always have a special place in my heart. It is a gorgeous neutral that can be a little more pink or a little more nude depending on the gloss or lipliner you wear with it.

Revlon Colorburst in Strawberry Shortcake - These lip butters are insanely good and go on so smoothly. I want them in every single color.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Iris -  The HD line is my new favorite. The colors are so gorgeous and I am loving this purple shade.

Revlon Colorburst in Berry Smoothie - Same as the pink version - it is so good and I love the pigmentation.

Check out my swatches of all my favorite lipsticks above for a better idea of the colors and pigmentation. They always look a little different on your skin.

Hope you liked this post and thank you so much for reading!

White Jeans

Happy Sunday y'all! My house is clean, my laundry is done, and I feel like a new woman. It's such a great feeling to be caught up on everything and ready for the week. It's one of my favorite feelings- along with checking things off lists and lighting candles and turning on all the lights in our house.... my poor husband ;)

I thought I would put up a few of my pics from my collab with Morrell's Armoire last week because I loved this outfit so much. It's such a classic combination and probably the style I gravitate towards the most. Classic and Southern. The jeans are under $30 and you need them in your life.

Happy Sunday loves and heres to a great week!

Currently Craving

T.G.I.F y'all! You know those weeks where you hit your exhaustion wall and you know you need a few days to recoop? I hit that last night around 8:30 when I crashed into bed. It has been a super busy week on top of a weekend of fun and that equals one exhausted girl. I need to recharge - badly!

Bringing you a few of my favorite items this moment. There is so much good stuff out right now for the Spring and Summer. As usual, I am loving most of it!

Happy Weekend Friends! Check back tomorrow for a little weekend post!

Dressy Jeans: Guest Post by Morrell's Armoire

Hi Ladies, today I am so excited because I am teaming up with the fab Morrell of Morrell's Armoire. She is guest-posting here and I am over on her blog. We are doing a little get to know you Q & A plus our favorite casual and dressy ways to wear white jeans. A summer staple.

So grab a cup of coffee and get to know her a little better!

Hey everyone! Nice to meet you! My name is Morrell Turner, and I am the fashion blogger behind Morrell's Armoire. I am so happy to be guest posting for Gracie today. I hope that Gracie and I have many more collaborations in the future.  Here is a little bit about me and Morrell's Armoire.
Coming from a very small town called Chatom, just north of Mobile,  it was hard to really find out who I was until later in life when I went to college. All my friends would always ask me why I wasn’t majoring in fashion. Everyone always wanted to know where I purchased my clothes.  I felt as though I had to prove something to my family and myself by getting a business degree. By this time, it was unfortunately too late to change my major. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business and then a Master’s in Marketing, but I have always had a desire for fashion. It seems as though I have worked many jobs, but I always come back to my one true love, fashion. Even at the young age of two years old, my mom swears I fought with her when she picked out my clothes and tried to dress me.
When I graduated 2 years ago in May, I had a lot of time on my hands looking for jobs. My ultimate plan was to start my own store or maybe an online store.  After hours upon hours of researching, I fell in love with the idea of starting a fashion blog. After I spent more time researching other fashion blogs, I finally decided to just do it. I felt it was a great way to document my style. I called it Morrell’s Armoire because my closet is my refuge and sanctuary. Morrell’s Armoire is now my "creative outlet fueled by my passion". Morrell’s Armoire has given me courage, creativity, and so much happiness. Sharing my style is now one of my favorite things to do!
My style changes from day to day. I don't really have a strategy for what I post.  My posts are based on how I feel on that particular day. My style reflects my mood.. which I think most everyone’s style does.

Today Gracie and I have are giving you some white pants inspiration. I took the dressy look, and Gracie, the casual look ...back on my blog.  I went a little Kors Krazy on this one. When dressing up a pair of white jeans, fabric is key. The texture can make such a difference in your ensemble. I choose this silky ruffled back top by Michael Kors. A silk top is an easy fix for a dressy pants look. Accessories are also a prime part of dressing up your look. I always gravitate to gold pieces. Gold accessories really pop amongst darker colors.  I added these killer heels to make the look even more dramatic.

Thanks again for reading. I have sincerely enjoyed my time with Style and a Little Grace!

Chambray + Maxi

I love maxi dresses, they are so comfortable and easy for the hot summer months. Add a chambray top tied up and it becomes the perfect transition piece for Spring. This is one of my go-to outfits when I travel but I thought I would dress it up for a dinner/movie date with the hubs. I am loving the results.

Did any of y'all attempt the Lilly for Target launch? We were in the middle of a storm at the beach and I didn't get there in time - I am so bummed that I missed out on everything. I had so much I wanted!

Weekend Update

Well I am officially back in the swing of things after our annual Same Sweet Girls beach trip last weekend. If you haven't read that book you must - purchase here. It's our favorite.

Top notch trip ladies, top notch! We had such a good time even with the overcast weather. Seeing your best friends especially when you live in different cities is so important and we try to keep up our trips at least twice a year. Eating good food, drinking wine, laying on the beach, and maybe a few Disney and Deanna Carter sing alongs made my weekend!

Selfie Attempts

Gorgeous view from our bird's nest in our adorable house in Seaside

Soft shell crab dinner was incredible our first night at V in Seaside. If you haven't tried it - definite must.

Coffee + Creme Brulee

Cocktails at The Great Southern - another must eat in Seaside. Their food is delicious.

Steamed crab claws + caesar salad

Fried crab claws + insanely good pimento cheese

Sister sister

Fresh oysters

Laras braid game was on point

Product Night - so much fun! We all brought products that we wanted to talk about and different masks and things for each other to try. This was a blast. Totally recommend for your next girls trip.
