Currently Craving: The Perfect Easter Outfit

It's almost the weekend y'all! It rained all day yesterday and I am so jealous of all my family in North Alabama enjoying the gorgeous snowfall they got last night. My instagram is overflowing with pictures of families sledding and building snowmen in the neighborhood I grew up in. I love seeing it! My mom says it might be the biggest snow since my brother and I were little!

Days like this make me miss the seasons of that area but then we have the most beautiful sunny day or take a quick beach trip and I remember why I love living here so much! So today I am dreaming of the perfect Easter ensemble. I love Easter and the spring time and have the best memories of shopping for the perfect Easter dress with my mom, so it is always fun to get a new frock for the occasion. Here are some of my favorites right now!

Are y'all as ready for Spring as me? Thank you so much for reading!

HOW TO - Clean your Make-up Brushes

Ok Ladies, today we are talking cleaning your make-up brushes. When was the last time you cleaned yours? I know sometimes this task can fall to the wayside- guilty party right here. Your make-up brushes can hold bacteria and dirt so it is a good rule of thumb to try and clean them weekly.
Experts say to clean your foundation/liquid brushes daily but I feel like that can be a little difficult to remember - once a week is a great rule for me.

Rub your cleaner into the bristles of the brush and run through them to get all the product out

Rinse with warm water and repeat steps if brushes are extra full of product

Make sure all of the cleaner is out of the bristles

Lay out on a clean towel to air dry

Make sure to leave horizontal all night so the brushes fully dry and bacteria doesn't get a chance to settle in the stem of your brush ( it can happen if you set upright in a container or on your counter)

SHAMPOO - This is my favorite option because it is so affordable and easily available. Johnsons Baby Shampoo is the best and it smells so good!

PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP CLEANSER - There are a ton of great products out there that are made just to clean your brushes. There is one that I really want to try that you just wipe on your brushes.

FACIAL CLEANSER - Your cleanser is as gentle as shampoo and will get your brushes nice and clean as well.

How do you clean your brushes?

Navy Blooms

This weekend was absolutely gorgeous and Sunday it was around 78 degrees. You will hear no complaints from me - bring on Spring! The flowers are blooming and although my allergies are loathing the pollen right now I am excited for the change of seasons! I found this fun floral top at TJ Maxx Thursday and had to buy. It reminds me so much of all the Joie Blouses that I love but at a fraction of the price. I feel like it's a great piece to add to my wardrobe for spring.

We had a great weekend - dinner Friday night at Master Joes in Fairhope with one of my girlfriends who was in town. If you live in the area and haven't had their sushi you must go! So delicious. I spent the day shopping with her and having some girl time. Henry and I went sheet shopping on Saturday, watched Gone Girl (so good) and went to Mass/cleaned on Sunday. We followed it up with The Oscars. A really busy and fun weekend!

Check out my Oscar faves on my FB page - With Style and a Little Grace. Who were y'all loving? So many great fashions!

My Current Skincare Routine

Happy Friday Friends! I have recently been working on my skincare routine trying to get it down to the perfect combination of products. As I wind the road to thirty ( freaking out a little) I am realizing how important investing in your skin is and I have found myself spending the money on my skincare versus other items. Let's face it you only get one face - unless your a Beverly Hills Housewife -which would be fabulous.

We are all aware by now that I am a beauty addict. While I am still working on adding certain items (mainly a Clarisonic) good products are expensive -can I get an AMEN, I thought I would show you what I am using right now since the last time I talked about my skincare routine was two years ago. Check out the whole post here. Plus I have seen a few of my favorite bloggers post about their skincare and it always gets me excited to see what products everyone is loving.

Origins Checks and Balances - I am in love with this facewash y'all. You only need a tiny bit and it gets so frothy and leaves your face feeling so smooth and clean. It smells minty fresh and lasts for ages. I am almost out so I will be repurchasing, I believe I have found my Holy Grail facewash and I am thinking about trying out the Ginzeng scrub as well.

Garnier Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes - I have been using these towelettes to wipe off excess makeup at night or in the morning. I like them so far but I am not fully convinced. They are a little drying. I have been through several different brands of cleansing cloths and I still haven't found that Holy Grail product for me. Any suggestions?

I cleanse my face morning and night then wipe away excess with my cleansing cloths.

AVEENO Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer - I switched back to this moisturizer recently and have been loving it. It's a great moisturizer and it has SPF 15. It evens out the tone of my skin and I feel like it helps with redness.

Origins Ginzeng Eye Cream - I started using this eye cream last week and I already feel like I am seeing results. My skin around my eyes is much less puffy and it really wakes my eyes up in the morning. I have been using it at night right now because I don't have a nighttime cream but it is supposed to be used in the AM.

Josie Maran Argan Oil Light - I bought the mini versions of the light and original to try out for night and day. So far they are fabulous for winter skin. I mix a few drops in with my moisturizer and my skin feels instantly hydrated. I am also noticing a difference in lines.

Coconut Oil - I have my coconut oil in this container in my bathroom. I use it for EVERYTHING. Taking off my make-up, moisturizer, etc. This stuff is a miracle worker.

Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream - This cream is great for the winter months, especially mixed with a little argan oil. I know I will want to lighten it up in the summer but right now it is so nourishing on my skin.

Orlane Line Reducing Lip Care - I was given several of these Orlane products by my Dad's Fiance Suzanne and they are fabulous. Otherwise to be honest I would never have been able to afford to buy it. It really hydrates and plumps my lips at night, I love it. Definitely a little luxury.

I mix the argan oil with my Kiehls night cream and slather all over my face. I dab on my eye cream and then dab a little bit of the lip cream on my lips.

Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush - I obviously brush my teeth morning and night but I can't tell you what a difference this electric toothbrush has made. My teeth feel so amazing and so clean. I wish I hadn't waited to long to get one.

I am definitely going to do an updated version this summer since I am still trying to update and tweak my routine to find out what works the best for my skin. I am also going to do a post next week about all my favorite products I use on my Spa nights. I try to a do a mask  once or twice a week. I usually do my hair and skin at the same time.

What are your favorite products, I would love to know!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Cheetah - Trend Spin Link Up: Faux Fur

BRRRRR I feel for everyone in the NorthEast dealing with this cold, snow and negative temps, I can barely handle 39 degrees in Mobile = most pathetic statement made by a Southerner who is spoiled by perfect weather.
Bonus of the cold it gives me a chance to wear some of my favorite cold weather items that I don't get to pull out that often. Enter my favorite fuzzy leopard coat that I found on mega sale at Target a few years ago. I think it was around $13 and who doesn't need a leopard coat in their wardrobe? Um yeah everyone does! ;)

I am also excited because I am linking up this look with the fabulous Laura of Walking in Memphis in High Heels and Erin of The Fashion Canvas for  the Trend Spin Link Up - Faux Fur is the look! You should also check out Raspberry Glow her blog is great as well!

Life Lately

Working on an upcoming DIY Blog Post - a little Wedding paper recycling coming next week - inspired by one of my favorite bloggers Carrie Bradshaw Lied

- Pulling out my favorite leopard loafers to wear while watching Henrys Mardi Gras parade.

- Putting my new organizers to use and realizing that I might have a serious love for lip products and nail polish. It does not deter me from buying more products - Hello my name is Gracie and I need every shade of lipgloss known to man :)

- The most handsome and regal Prince Charlie sitting on his throne - really he wanted food and his Dad was taunting him.

-Candids that my photographer takes of himself during our photoshoot time.

- Gorgeous sparkly BCBG number I borrowed for Henry's Ball last week

- Cosmos and a fresh red mani before the Mardi Gras festivities.

-The reason I am giving up candy for Lent. I have eaten more of it in the past two weeks than I probably needed in a year.

I think I will start incorporating some lately posts in the middle of each month. I like to show what we have been up to with candid pics and remind myself as well! Let me know if y'all like this idea?

I have more blog ideas coming this month and lots of fresh content that I hope y'all will enjoy. I am putting all my 2015 resolutions into practice and they are slowly but surely coming to fruition. This is truly my favorite creative space and I thank you so much for reading!

Currently Craving

Currently craving a beach, a bikini, and a tropical drink, anyone else? I am so jealous of all these folks going on vacay right now. It might not be snowing in Mobile but a little change of scenery is always a nice thing. Dreaming of Summer days and I have to get back into the gym.

Speaking of the Gym, that is one of the things I am getting back to this week. Also, Wednesday is Ash Wednesday are you giving anything up for Lent? I have decided to go with Candy and Ketchup two of my favorite things- obviously not together.

Let me know what you might be giving up, thank you again for reading!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

I made this amazing cheesecake recipe for Henry on Saturday for his Valentine's Day treat and y'all it is the BEST cheesecake recipe I have ever made- HANDS DOWN. I know I should have already posted it since it's a little festive and Valentine's Day is over but you could always make it just for fun - hearts are always a cute idea.

I used this recipe I found on Pinterest and it really was super easy. The only difficult part is straining the raspberries, just make sure you have some sort of super thin strainer.

I used a medicine dropper for the dots and it was pretty simple.

Random note- who saw 50 shade of the weekend? It was so cringe-worthy and almost difficult to watch did anyone else feel this way? Haha hope everyone had a Fab Valentine's Day weekend and a great Monday!

Thank you so much for reading!

Five on Saturday

- Sending Valentine's cards to all my favorites + loving my Lilly planner + The best limited edition chapstick of all time * cake batter

- Gettting my nails done and having the time to read an entire magazine

- Tastiest Bloody Mary to kick off the Mardi Gras festivites

- Mardi Gras fun

- The Boys all dressed up in their Mardi Gras gear!

Happy Valentine's Day Friends! Sorry I was MIA the past couple of days but we have been Mardi Grasing pretty hard and I needed a few days to recoop! Henry and I are heading to 50 shades tonight and then topping it off with a sushi date at our favorite place.

It is going to be delicious. I hope you have a wonderful day spent with the people you love!

Thank you for reading!

I am not going to lie this photo-op was a slight bust, but we had fun doing it. Henry and I enjoyed the afternoon strolling downtown before my parade last week and decided to take some pics. Well the wind was whipping exhibit A - my terrible hair in every photo.

I tried to curl it and I like the waves, but I think I have decided the bangs have to grow out. Loving the length but the bangs might be too much management for this girl.

Mossimo Sweater // Mossimo Skirt // J.Crew Tights // Old Navy Booties // Cabi Coat // Scarf unknown // Old Navy Tote OLD // Ray Ban Aviators
