With Style and a Little Grace: August Favorites

August Favorites

Hey party people it's Friday and it's also that time again.... another month another round up of what I loved and was obsessed with. This summer flew by and if I am being honest I only did about 1/2 the things on my Summer Bucket List. I like to keep it real around here. I will just have to include them next year. I am currently working on my new Fall Bucket List, last years here

This is my final round-up of favorites from the last summer month! Le sigh.

Loreal True Match Powder- I have had this powder for a long time and just recently started using it. It gives great coverage throughout the day and it might just be my favorite drugstore powder ever. It is so blend-able and the coverage is very natural and not caked. I am the shade C3 Creamy Natural. I could probably go a shade darker, but with winter coming this should work great.

Maybelline Pumped Up mascara - I get one or two new mascaras every month because I am a germaphobe and you are supposed to replace your mascara around every 1 to 2 months. Plus, it is one of my top 5 makeup products to try and I am always on the hunt for the greatest mascara ever. A truly never ending task :) .  I am really enjoying this one. I think the brush is a little too thick and it is hard to get into the corners of my eyes, but it has great build up and doesn't clump at all. It is also true to its word and doesn't flake off on my skin at the end of the day. Good stuff.

Maybelline Baby Lips/Rimmel 3D Gloss - The baby lips had been sitting in my nightstand unused until about 3 weeks ago when I switched out bags and decided to try it with my new lip glosses. Enter my new favorite combo layering the baby lips with the Rimmel 3D gloss on top, which gives the perfect pink for my everyday look. It is extremely moisturizing and what I love about the Rimmel gloss is that it isn't sticky at all. The only con is that the Rimmel doesn't smell very good but the baby lips smells amazing.

My two favorite books from the month of August which are pretty obvious since I talked about them ALOT. Links to my reviews: The Fault in Our Stars and Where'd you go Bernadette

Guy's I can't even begin to describe how much I love this show, like look forward to it all day Saturday... which really tells you a lot about how much I do on my weekends. You know when you just love a book so so much and somebody does it justice with a show, exactly as you pictured it in your imagination, which so rarely ever happens... it's magical.

I'm a total loser.

So we all know that there is nothing much on tv this time of year and if I am being honest there haven't been that many great movies out recently. I like to DVR my favorites and I must say that at night I have been watching Princess Diaries a large amount. It is such a cute movie. My husband asked how old I was. Judge free zone.

This is really funny but I think it could have been a lot better. Love all the women in it though, especially Leslie Mann. Henry told me that I act like her in this movie..... I am not sure how to take it.

This is just adorable. Henry and I love it. Loving all the people in it. Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Nick Cage. etc.

My denim shorts from Target might be one of my best and most affordable buys of the summer. I have worn both pairs non-stop and I think they are cute to transition into Fall with booties, tees, and scarves. Especially since it stays pretty hot around here until Mid-October. They are on sale right now.

Super predictable, but I  love it and I am pretty sure I will be buying her whole album.  We used to have a love/hate relationship but these days I have nothing but love for Tay. Shake it off girl.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Joan Rivers. She was vivacious, hilarious, and such a pioneer for women everywhere. She will be missed.

I hope y'all enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading! Follow along on Google Friend connect for all the updates. Saturday I will finally be loading a new You-Tube video.

Happy Weekend!!
