With Style and a Little Grace: July 2013

Pre Ceremony { Wedding Part 2 }

Our Wedding was the most perfect day of my life so far! Tons of things went wrong but it was the little imperfections that made our day so perfect! I married the love of my life and I could not be happier! Our photographer Aimee Reynolds truly captured the day so spectacularly!

Our Trolley that took us to all of the days events!

 Flowers getting ready to decorate the reception

My Wedding day shoes! They were kind of crazy but my dress was so traditional I thought they would be fun.

My Wedding gift from my mother. A Beautiful egg my Dad gave my mom from France, with a gorgeous diamond pendant and a lucky penny!

My grandmothers cameo that I wore on my bouquet! It was very special to me!

More to come!

Stepping up my hair game!

Ok ladies I have been doing my research on products to step up my hair game. I am aware that I am going to have to break out my wallet because I need several products to make this change happen. First and foremost I am going to need a new curling iron. Currently I have two one Revlon and one Conair that are both 1.5 inch barrels. All of my research is showing that I need a 1 inch barrel. So the leading contenders are as follows.

This Hot Tools Professional Spring curling iron was voted best of 2013 and it is only $40

The  Bombshell has 5 stars on Sephora but it is a little pricey!

For Products I learned that this leave in conditioner is perfect to use after you wash your hair.

And before I start to curl my hair use an oil treatment on my ends to help tame flyaways. My top two are here and here

The last step is to change my hairspray! I think I am going to make the switch to Big Sexy Hair. I am currently using Aussie and it has no hold at all. I do not recommend it!

So I am going to try to get as many of these hair components as I can and try them out this weekend! I will let ya'll know how it goes! Any hair care suggestions are totally appreciated!

Let's talk hair + Girl Crush Lauren Conrad

Hi Friends! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Our's was spent at home watching movies, reading, and enjoying not having anywhere to be! I mean we really didn't do much at all and it was so great! I did catch up on some thank you notes which was much needed! I have known for a long time that I am not good at styling my hair when it is worn down. I am pretty good at up-dos, but now that I have finally grown it out I want to be able to do the pretty tousled wave that people pull off on a daily basis and I have tried and tried but it is just not working! I spent an hour over the weekend and within 5 minutes outside all my work was gone and I was left with sad stringy hair.  I have decided that my curling iron is crap, my hairspray is cheap, and I need to do a little beauty re-con to get some new styling products to make my mane look like this

 Lauren Conrad has the best waves!

And not this

I know that this is going to be a bit of a feat considering my mother curled my hair until high school but I am 28 and I want to be able to make my hair look great on a daily basis! Any suggestions on products would be great! I will be back tomorrow with a list of things I might purchase for the great hair trial!

I also might be getting this book because the Hills reruns have made me realize how much I like Lauren Conrad and maybe she can help my hair!

Suggestions? Wedding Pics Part 2 on Wednesday

Our Wedding Part One { Bridesmaid's Luncheon and Rehearsal Dinner }

Happy Friday! I have been meaning to do our wedding post for a week now but it has been hard to finally get all of our pictures together! Our wedding was the most perfect weekend spent with family and friends! I will cherish the memories made forever! I married my best friend and I truly feel so blessed and lucky to spend my life with him! It went by so quickly and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat ( the actual day not necessarily all the planning leading up to it haha)

My Bridesmaid's Luncheon was the Friday before our wedding. We had it at my favorite place in downtown Mobile called Spot of Tea. It is the most adorable place to have brunch and it overlooks the Cathedral where we were married the next day!

This cake was beyond delicious!

We had some crazy things happen with our Rehearsal Dinner venue ( it shut down 10 days before our wedding weekend cue crazy bride). Luckily, we were able to have it at the hotel where most everyone was staying! They were so accommodating and it was so beautiful!!

I had my mothers wedding dress cut off to wear for our Rehearsal Dinner! I absolutely loved the way that it turned out and it was so so special!

More pics to come next week! Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend! It's the last one in July!  I can't believe how quickly the summer is passing by!

Currently Coveting

Currently I am on a shopping hiatus thanks to overspending on my wedding budget and the fun trips we have taken recently. I had to disclose my financials to the hubs and that was not a super fun conversation! Needless to say I have got to save some money as we would like to move into our first house in the near future. So I am only lusting after things over the internet and not allowing them to enter my shopping bag...... which is really really hard!

Loving this Tory Burch wrap bracelet

It would be perfect with this Michael Kors watch

This Dolce Vita dress is perfect for date night or just a saturday out and about.

I am not much on mini skirts but I think Free People made this one really adorable.

Tibi does it again with the perfect Wedding dress.

Have y'all seen all the fab new things at Zara ? I seriously want it all! Here are some of my faves
