Weekend Update * Halloween Week

It's HALLOWEEN WEEK y'all! I had such a fun Fall weekend and I'm looking forward to spending the next three nights watching spooky flicks, eating soup ( it's downright chilly here), making pumpkin cream cheese bread, and maybe even having our first fire (wink wink Henry!
We carved our pumpkins on Friday night then headed out to a friends hunting camp for some outdoor fun. There was gun shooting, football watching, and lots of sitting around the campfire. Sunday was a church day and home to relax and get ready for the busy week ahead!
Weekend in pics ( more or less) :

Precious Halloween card from one of my besties

Finally got a new pair of kicks. I went with the ones you can see not the pair behind them. You can see my sad New Balances by the mirror I was in desperate need.

These adorable doughnuts happened and I refrained from eating them but they were so cute! It's that time of year where all the good food starts to appear.

There was an office party and this happened. I was really grossed out by it but people said the cake was actually really good. Pretty clever idea.

Got our pumpkin

Did some old school pumpkin carving and well...... see image below ( I'm no artist)

Happy Halloween week / Monday!

Thursday Hodge Podge

Thursdays are one of my favorite days with the weekend looming so closely and the prospect of a fun weekend right at your fingertips! This weekend I am really excited because I am carving pumpkins on Friday night and then heading out to the hunting camp on Saturday morning for a little fun in the woods.
Here are my random ramblings from the week:

I saw this picture of Mischa on DON this morning and it made me really sad because I remember when she was on The OC and I loved her..... Random I know

I mean I loved her back in The OC hay day!

November 16..... November 16 !! I saw the preview last night and got so excited!!

They are adorable.. this is adorable! I think she looks gorgeous! I still don't know how I feel about the pink wedding dress trend??

I am 100% positive that I need to add these to my shoe collection soon. Since I have decided to make an effort and enjoy the hunting camp this year with Henry these things need to be added to my wardrobe so that I will be stylish whilst hunting!

This  adorable Madewell jacket will camouflage me just right ;)!

this precious plaid scarf for the nights around the campfire telling ghost stories.

Super random I know

Happy Thursday!

Weekend Update

My weekend was spent on the water resting, reading my book, and watching some Halloween movies on ABC family. It was a great relaxing weekend with a delicious food tasting to kick it off. I had a half day on Monday (hence my absence) and got a little more caught up on some wedding planning and things around the house. It was a perfect Fall weekend and I hope the rest are very similar! Here are some pics of the weekend. Happy Tuesday loves!!

Beignet fries from our catering appointment on Friday. They were AMAZING and definitely put them as a front runner in my book!

Plus they sent us home with all this delicious food to try out

I did some gourd shopping on Friday and found some really cute ones that will last me through Thanksgiving

Just thought y'all might be entertained that I watched Harry Potter while working out on Friday! I don't care who sees I love Halloween and all things ABC Family! I aint scurred!

While river sitting I did a lot of magazine/book reading. I found this in one and we have a magnolia in our yard so I am definitely going to try this out for the holidays!

Also this recipe is going to happen soon. Henry loves cornbread so I will let you know how it tastes.

New book in my rotation: The Sorceress by Michael Scott (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flamel). Its a teen series and I have been trying to finish it for awhile but could not find time. Its a cute easy read if your looking for a good series!

My view for the weekend

The cutest gift from my Aunt

And last more ABC family on Tim Burton day!

Happy Friday

T.G.I.F y'all - I'm off to do a bit of relaxing! If you're a nerd like me 13 nights of Halloween starts on ABC family and Hocus Pocus is on tomorrow. I will be recording and watching probably every day. Henry really loves it when he walks through our house and its playing in every room with all the lights on and all my pumpkin candles are lit( that was laced with sarcasm). I don't know about y'all but I get really excited about all the holidays coming up and it warms my heart to think of all the fun that is to be had! Cheers everybody, grab a friend and go get a cocktail... its Friday!

A Woman's Scent

A good perfume is important ladies! I think you can tell a lot about someone by what scents they choose. Picking a new scent is hard because I always go back to the ones I love. I like to alternate different scents from winter to summer. A deeper, stronger scent in the winter and a lighter floral smell in summer. I have actually run out of all my favorite perfumes and I am officially on the hunt for a new scent. What do you prefer?

My favorites of all time are:

Coco Chanel Its a classic and you can't go wrong with it

Michael Kors - Michael Kors

Burberry Brit Eau de Toilette My mom wears this one and I love love it.
Burberry - Brit Eau de Toilette

My all time favorite is Kate Spade classic pearls but they have discontinued this I think!

Gucci Guilty  My most recent purchase ( Smells amazing)

Gucci - Guilty

On my radar to try:

Michael Kors - Rose Gold

Balenciaga This smells amazing and the bottle is fab!

BALENCIAGA - Balenciaga Paris

Chloe - ChloƩ Gift Set

What scents are on your radar? Its almost Friday ladies!! Hope you have a great Thursday and thank you for reading!

Weekend Update

This past weekend was so relaxing with just the right amount of activity mixed in. Henry had a football game Friday night that they won (Go McT) !! Saturday we popped over to Fairhope for brunch with my Aunt and Uncle who were in town for a wedding. Fairhope is the cutest town and we had so much fun walking around enjoying the day that I didn't even take a single picture (shame on me).

Sunday we relaxed and I caught up on some reading! I am still trying to get caught up on my reading list. It is not cold enough for me here in Mobile and I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of cold weather! But I am still picking up my pumpkin and mums this wee. Here are some pictures from the past two weekends and what we have been up to.

We started our first registry!! Henry only lasted about 2 hours but he was a trooper. More on the registry Wednesday!

I bought him a mexican CocaCola from Fresh Market for going with me! It was divine and it sent me into a sugar coma!

A bag of goodies with bridal advice we received for registering.

Took some model pics of this handsome boy

So regal

We grilled some Conecuh sausage and mushrooms on our new grill! They were delicious!

We were super naughty and made chocolate milkshakes in our new blender that I received for my birthday!

I also started off our Fall by making Santa Fe soup in our brand new crock-pot. There seems to be a theme that I am finally getting around to using all our new appliances! The crock-pot is awesome and I will be putting it to serious use.

Santa Fe soup is not complete without jalapeno cornbread!

I put out our Halloween decorations and Henry told me that the mantle looked a little too scary! I think its fun and festive and I don't think I am finished yet.

Hung this new picture that Henrys mom did for his Birthday - She is very talented.

Made some Halloween mix that is dangerous and I have been constantly snacking on it!

My creepy toasting glass is ready!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are ready for a great week!
